Pure hearts are necessary to get to Heaven. Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Revelation 21:27a And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie:
Before God purifies them, our hearts are deceitful and desperately wicked. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
That is a prayer. If you know you have a deceitful wicked heart and need a pure one, why not ask God to purify it and save you right now? |
